Ritual participants (men, boys & their parents) meet at 3 PM on the 11th Jan @ Memorial Hall and from there proceed to the ritual site. Tim about Tim Witnessing the theatre rituals of Neil Cameron in my teenage years greatly helped me to evolve, to let go of childhood and embrace the new challenges ahead. When I was 19 I started working on these events and exploring the process more deeply. Through the connections I made there I started working in different areas of Australia; building community, celebrating wilderness and developing my skills. Eventually in 2002 I went overseas to explore the origins and varieties of this work. I went wild in the desserts of Nevada at Burning Man Festival and welded dragons for Welfare State International’s 20th Ulverston Lantern Procession in England. I collaborated with Outdoor theatre companies in Poland, Ukraine and Slovakia and was the artistic director for Beltane Fire Festival in Edinburgh-Europe’s Largest Fire Festival.
Having seen how many of the ways celebration and ritual help humanity to evolve, and sensing the creative and spiritual potential of this way of life I was inspired to continue. Creating ritual empowers us to create culture and values in a positive and powerful way. It is a shared spiritual experience that can be firmly grounded in the reality of our situation while also inviting in magic to transform and manifest. And when the meaningfulness isn’t overly apparent, it’s still good fun.

each year the ritual concludes the festival. It is developed at various meetings and training workshops throughout the event and expresses the unity of shared purpose in becoming better people. dependant on weather conditions it might be presented outdoors - at beach or river locations, otherwise it's conducted indoors
