Gravity Warriors
Gravity Warriors combines music and dance in a spectacular way
focusing on the art of Hip Hop. Gravity Warriors is a group of professional, highly
skilled breakdancers combined with a Dj, bass player, mc and percussionist.
Gravity Warriors offers an explosive performance. Each individual dancer in
the group impresses any audience with acrobatic funk and the ability of a top-level
gymnast on the floor. Breakdancing itself is visually spectacular, Gravity Warriors
however take it to another level through original and innovative choreography and
dancers who strive to keep their title as some of Australia’s best.
Channel Direct
Gravity Warriors is managed and led by Channel Direct; Australia’s premiere Breakdancing/Hip
Hop School based in Brisbane. Channel Direct is owned and managed by two of the founding
members of Gravity Warriors, Nicholas Power and Alana Smith.
Channel Direct was founded in April 1999. We are dedicated to supplying young people
with education and access to positive Hip Hop culture. Channel Direct runs Breakdancing
classes every week and works with a number of different organizations to supply workshops
and performances in Breakdancing, mc’ing (rapping), turntablizm (dj’ing) and aerosol
art throughout Australia.
Nicholas Power aka B Boy Rely
Nicholas Power is a dancer with ten years experience.
He is an exciting and inspirational dancer who thrives on live performance. His ability
in all high-level areas of Breakdancing has him in great demand throughout the country
to add his flair and dynamic skill to any event. Nicholas has been teaching dance
for five years and in that time has been the driving force and inspiration for many
young people on their path to becoming established performers.
